- 1,739 new listings came on the market in January which puts total inventory at 2,980 units, which is down over 3% from this time last year
- The average price for a single family home in January 2012 was $438,683 - this is a 3.3% decrease over January of 2011 when the average sale price was $453,845
Condominium Sales - Condo sales in January 2012 were 305 an increase of 1% over January of 2011
- 815 new listings were added in January which is a 6.5% decrease over this time last year
- Calgary Metro average condo sale price in January was $268,526 which was down nearly 7%from $288,291 in January of 2011
- Month end inventory was sitting at 1,450, down 11% from this time last year
Country Residential/Rural - Country residential acreage sales in January were 40, up over 21% from January of 2011
- Country residential average sale price for January 2012 was $684,900 down nearly 6% from $726,136 in January of 2011
- Country residential listings are up 21% at 783 over January of 2011
